NSF continues funding for the Ujima Collective research capacity project

Under the National Science Foundation grant Collaborative Research: Ideas Lab: The HBCU Ujima Collective—Building Research Capacity at HBCUs Through a Grow-Your-Own Research Corps Model, the five campus principal investigators—Dr. Jarralynne Agee ($685,580, NSF Award #2430319) of Miles College (Lead PI and project management), Dr. Kimberley Freeman ($583,283, NSF Award #2430321) of Howard University (graduate research training), Dr. Michael Nettles ($579,990, NSF Award #2430320) of Morgan State University (assessment), Dr. Lin Li ($580,001, NSF Award #2430323) of Tennessee State University (faculty training and survey design), and Dr. Rashunda Richardson ($571,146, NSF Award #2430322) of Winston-Salem State University (undergraduate research training) with their Co-Principal Investigators Dr. Tangela Towns, Dr. Artenzia Young-Siegler, and Dr. Charles McCurry—have received NSF funding through 2027 to continue building research capacity across their campuses as part of the $3 million, three-year initiative led by Miles College.
