Honored and deeply grateful to share that I have been promoted to the rank of Professor of Psychology at Miles College. "I believe that my role with our HBCU Advancing Research Capacity work under the Ujima Collective had a direct impact on my scholarship and research," says Agee.

What began as a commitment to teaching and student development has grown into a journey focused on research capacity, workforce innovation, strategic initiatives, and creating opportunities for the next generation of scholars and leaders.

I am thankful to the students, colleagues, mentors, administrators, and community partners who have supported and challenged me along the way. Special appreciation to the leadership of Miles College and the Office of the Provost and President Bobbie Knight for this recognition.

As someone who believes education should transform lives and communities, I look forward to continuing the work — building research ecosystems, expanding access, supporting HBCU excellence, and preparing students for the future while honoring the traditions that built us.

The title is meaningful.

The responsibility means even more.
